Wow! I never realised that these snacks have been around for so long! The only time I have seen them was during this previous trip to KL. Wish there’s an easier way for us to enjoy it in Singapore. Maybe the more entrepreneurial bakers can do something about it :P

I have seen these kaya balls in Singapore! I used to eat this all the time when I was in Pri Sch (1990s). I loved it! There was this stall in AMK Central (next to a hawker centre I think) which sold them in many flavours – kaya, cheese, red bean etc. I’m not sure if the stall is still around, doubt so.

This post makes me nostalgic! I miss this cute little snack!

Haha I call them kaya buns! I can’t remember what the vendors call them. Happy to know that someone else is looking for them! The pancake kinds we have here simply do not hold as much filling as the balls (or buns).

we don’t have them in singapore though. we have the pancake kinds. but they dont taste as good of course.
