hello. Ive tasted the kaya balls located at westmall, but they are nothing much compared to the malaysian kaya balls.
but there are differnt flavours as well, chocolate tastes. nice. (:

In reply to jy. Wow! I never realised that these snacks have been around for so long! The only time I have seen them was during this previous trip to KL. Wish there's an easier way for us to enjoy it in Singapore. Maybe the more entrepreneurial bakers can do something about it :P

Hi,
I have seen these kaya balls in Singapore! I used to eat this all the time when I was in Pri Sch (1990s). I loved it! There was this stall in AMK Central (next to a hawker centre I think) which sold them in many flavours – kaya, cheese, red bean etc. I’m not sure if the stall is still around, doubt so.

This post makes me nostalgic! I miss this cute little snack!

hey veron, i think i saw those kaya balls selling in singapore. located at the basement of westmall.
i cant rember the stall name, but it shld be beside little jerry’s cookies. as for the taste wise, no guarantee / comment as personally have never try before.. sorry abt that.

In reply to potdora. Haha I call them kaya buns! I can't remember what the vendors call them. Happy to know that someone else is looking for them! The pancake kinds we have here simply do not hold as much filling as the balls (or buns).

YES!!! I looooove those kaya balls – i call them that. bwhahahaha. Anyway, I always get them whenever there’s a stopover. they usually sell them there. and the kaya flavour is the best. :D

we don’t have them in singapore though. we have the pancake kinds. but they dont taste as good of course.
