There is a new mountain bike rental service at Pengerang now. Meaning we no need to carry the bike from Changi Village now. Just take bumboat across to Pengerang and start riding from the rental place, it is call Tristan Park, http://www.tristangroup.com

low tides, 6 hour cycle in the equator. high tide is usually around 11a.m to 2p.m then again from 11pa.m to 2a.m in malaysia and singapore. so when you go the beach three days in a row.. it will be low tide all the way.

the tides thing was rather weird. i went at 1pm and 6pm on the same day, and then 7am the next day. all three occasions it was low tide. my luck must have been really bad.
